Hydrometallurgy uses aqueous solutions to separate and recover valuable metals from battery waste. It provides a route to selective metal extraction and purification.
JOL applies hydrometallurgical methods as part of its recycling process, following collection, preparation and mechanical separation. The aim is to recover useful metal products that can return to industrial applications, with the process selected for the incoming material stream.
